Boca del Rio: A suburb of the city 20 km south from downtown, is a commercial and modern neighborhood with |

La Antigua: During almost 75 years the port of Veracruz was located in this area. Now is called the Old Veracruz |

(La Antigua). This pretty town conserves a good part of its buildings such as Casa de Cortés, once home of the |

conquistador (conqueror). La Iglesia del Cristo del Buen Viaje dating to the mid-17th Century. The building Edificio |

del Cabildo built in 1523, the first Spanish Government office in Mexico. And the Emerito del Rosario a gorgeous |

church finished in 1524 as the first Christian church in America. |
