| We recommend you to visit the following sights in Uxmal: |
Archeological site of Uxmal: The city was establishes by the Xiues tribe and reached its peak between years 600-900 AD (classic period) and had approximately a population of 20, 000 habitants. The site displays 15 complexes of buildings spread from north to south along 2 km. The variety and quantity of buildings talk about the complexity of the society and the religious, political and economical activities once took place. (site and museum daily 8am-5pm)
The site puts on display a light and sound show taking place. (summer 8pm and winter 7pm). |
