Baggage

Mexico´s weather is from moderated to hot. For that reason you can package comfortable and fresh clothes. Don’t forget to bring a cap, comfortable shoes and sun cream. In the evening the temperature lowers down, so bring a light jacket or a sweater.  The rain season begins on July and finishes until September, take your precautions!

Touristic seasons

You can visit Mexico during the whole year; however, the main touristic period includes June, July and August. The best season to visit the beach is in October with sunny evenings and a less number of mosquito´s. The Spring-Break starts the last period of February until April. The hurricanes season starts on July until September.

Health Preventions

Before the trip, we recommend you to get hold of an international medical insurance, as it is recommended any time you travel.

In Mexico, in any drugstore, you can purchase a wide variety of medicines without the need of a medical recipe, as for headache, stomachache, light infection and cold.

It important to remind you that Mexican food is delicious but sometimes depending on your habits indigestive. Do not abuse of spicy and oily food and bring with you basic medication for light infections and diarrhea. A useful tips is that you avoid eating on the street and raw food.

Electric Current

The electric current in our country is 110 volts. If you will use dryers or another equipment it´s probable that you´ll need an electrical adapter which you can purchase at the airport.

Tips and Bargaining

Mexico has a full variety of restaurants from all kind cuisine and budgets. Generally we leave tips from 10% to 15% depending on the quality and the service offered.
Bargaining is a common practice in Markets and Mexican “tianguis” as method to negotiate the price. The common way to do it it´s asking: Is it the less or the lower? , ¿es lo menos?”, it becomes like a game between the buyer and the merchant in order to get the best bargain.

Banks

Mexican currency is thepeso mexicano”. Our country emits bills from $20, $50, $100, $200, $500 and $1000.

The most common money exchange is the American dollar, the one you can acquire at the main Banks: Banamex, BBVA, HSBC, and SCOTIABANK.
