A Stunning metropolis situated in the Caribbean coast; described as a unique party scene and a gorgeous white sand and turquoise water beach display. The city of Cancun is most important tourism center of the country, Nevertheless, its development is considerably recent. At the beginning of the seventies Cancun was a small island inhabited by just a couple hundred persons, locals, at the most. But the importance of tourism in the national economy and the over saturation suffered by the port of Acapulco, Mexico’s other great tourist destination, forced the government to create a complex exclusively destined to foreign visitors. Its success as recreational spot has not only been achieved because of the beauty of its beaches of white sand, but also because of its proximity to Mayan deposits. |
