Tuxtla Gutierrez the capital city of Chiapas is full of important historic buildings, such as the Catedral de San Marcos and the Antiguo Palacio de Gobierno, both of which are a blend of various architectural styles.

San Cristobal de las Casas, in this city, which has one of Mexico’s most beautiful urban designs, you can discover impressive religious buildings like the Cathedral or the Templo de Santo Domingo. Agua Azul Waterfalls is a breathtaking spectacle of blue waters, a large complex of waterfalls and natural reserves. Misol Ha, a beautiful waterfall of 30 m high, its base is a crystalline water pool for swimming. Palenque, is one of the most important Mayan archaeological zones.

The Sumidero Canyon, one of the nation’s most impressive natural attractions, you can hire a boat and set out on a tour. The tour lasts about two hours and includes tales about hidden treasures found at the bottom of the Grijalva River. Along the way you’ll see curious rock formations such as the canyon’s famous "Arbol de Navidad" (Christmas Tree).
